Battlefield 5: 9 Reasons Fans Should Be Worried

3. EA Goading Fans

You would expect EA to be extremely tentative at this point and time, rolling over to fans and simply doing anything they can to curry favour. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Everyone will have seen the article in which EA says that if fans don't like the direction of the game, then they shouldn't buy it, all before preorder numbers underperform.

It is likely that EA thought their goading was going towards critics of their new take on WW2, but what they didn't realise is that the people who are complaining are genuine long-term fans, who want their beloved franchise to be great.

So, telling said fans that they can just deal with it simply idiotic and has obviously backfired. Rule 101 of business: Don't tell your fans they can bugger off.
