Battlefield 6: 10 Fatal Mistakes DICE Must Avoid
5. Not Implementing "Levolution"
One of the best things about Battlefield 4 were its "Levolution" moments; scripted events of immense, map changing destruction that could often alter the way a match was played, and swing the odds in the other team's favour.
And in a leaked investors' call between EA shareholders, it was hinted that there was a chance for similarly destructive events to return in Battlefield 6.
Given how popular this feature was with fans, it would be a blunder not to bring them back, especially if Battlefield 6 makes its long awaited return to a modern setting with more powerful weaponry.
Landing a headshot on an enemy is a satisfying FPS experience. Bringing a skyscraper down on top of one is a genre defining memory.
What's more, with DICE constantly improving their engine, as well as having the opportunity to take advantage of more powerful console hardware, there's an unmissable opportunity here for some truly earth shattering mayhem. No longer just scripted, singular events, but multiple dynamic destruction opportunities across whole maps.
Imagine: a few well placed tank shots and you can make any map look like something out of a Fallout wasteland. Minus the radiation, of course.
