Battlefield 6: 10 Ways EA Can Win Back The Fans
10. Consistent Anti-Cheat Support
Cheaters and hackers in games are nothing new in multiplayer games and are unlikely to go away anytime soon. But when it is getting to the point where every online match you play is infested with immortal enemies who can move super fast and snipe you from across the map with perfect accuracy, then maybe it's about time someone steps in and sorts things out.
Luckily, more studios are taking steps to clamp down on cheaters with their own version of anti-cheat systems being a fundamental part of their games.
Valve added VAC to Counter-Strike, Ubisoft added BattleEye to Rainbow Six Siege and Infinity Ward added SMS phone verification to Warzone, which all helped reduce the number of cheaters in each of these games.
Even Epic Games have their own effective way of protecting Fortnite players. Although, massive lawsuits are likely to make anyone give up cheating.
The point is that the Battlefield series does not have a strong history of dealing with cheaters and any new game needs its own dedicated anti-cheat system that can protect the core experience of the game by accurately identifying anyone using cheating software and ban them.
