Battlefield 6: 10 Ways EA Can Win Back The Fans

9. Gameplay Takes Priority Over Graphics

The Battlefield franchise has always prided itself on creating massive online multiplayer experiences, with an emphasis on players working together in squads. They are both major components of the identity Battlefield has built over the years and it's something fans want to see EA make a larger priority for Battlefield going forward.

Developers and publishers should know by now that impressive graphics can only go so far when it comes to selling their games and there are many games that are prime examples of players caring more about how fun the gameplay is over how realistic the environments are.

In other words, it will not matter how good the Frostbite engine makes everything look if the gameplay is not up to the usual Battlefield standards.

EA needs to assure that DICE makes the most of their play testing in order to get the gameplay just right. Better Time To Kill and weapon balancing would be a great start, while also making sure that the skill floor is low enough for new players to jump in and the skill ceiling is high enough for hardcore players to be challenged when they try mastering certain weapons.
