Battlefield 6: 10 Ways EA Can Win Back The Fans
4. Better Maps At Launch
Even if Battlefield 6 brings with it a return to an all out war style of gameplay and reworks the game's vehicles, it will all count for nothing if they do not get the most important part of any multiplayer shooter right. Well made and entertaining maps.
There have been many memorable maps across all of the Battlefield games. Caspian Border, Grand Bazaar, Damarand Peak, Amiens and Arica Harbor are all really strong maps that demonstrate the best of what the series has to offer. The reason these maps work is because they either have multiple sections built with various game modes in mind, or they focus on making the most of one specific mode.
In short, fans want quality maps that have clearly had a lot of work put into them and offer hundreds of hours of replayability, rather than an abundance of maps that are horribly unbalanced and feel out of place.
EA should make sure that their best tested maps are ready at the game's launch, with DICE ready to respond to player feedback so that they can quickly fix any issues they may have missed with an early patch.
