Battlefield 6: 9 Settings DICE Should Use

8. Space

I’d just like to go on record and say that I believe DICE and EA should not set the next Battlefield game in the Milky Way, on Mars, or in/around any kind of chocolate bar, but that doesn’t mean they won’t.

Rightly or wrongly, over the years Call of Duty has gradually gone from recreating D-Day to doing its best Battlestar Galactica impressions.

While games like Advanced Warfare, Black Ops III, and Infinite Warfare haven’t arguably been the best in the series, there’s definitely a market for sci-fi shooters that Battlefield could seek to enter into.

Going beyond the stars would mean DICE would have to create a completely new story, not to mention completely redesigning their multiplayer mode. While that would be a risky move as it's such a drastic shift from its last game in the form of Battlefield V, journeying back to the days of the World War I was probably deemed an equally dicey (no pun) gamble when moving from Battlefield 4 to Battlefield 1.

While this probably the most unlikely move, it’s not a complete impossibility we could be jetting around the galaxy in the next Battlefield game.
