Battlefield 6: 9 Settings DICE Should Use

7. France

Battlefield 6
EA

A fairly unlikely setting, especially if rumours are to be believed about the next game being set in the present day, but if Battlefield did stick with its current historical timeline, France could be a viable option.

Several shooters with a WWII focused narrative have used France as the backdrop for their campaigns in the past, with Call of Duty 3 having a fantastic assortment of levels inspired by the Normandy Breakout, taking place in Chambois and around the Falaise Gap.

The American missions in COD 3 took place in the streets of Saint-Lô, the woodlands of Saint-Germain-sur-Sèves, with the final battle erupting in the town of Chambois. France’s gamut of terrains and environments means that levels could be shoot-outs in crowded forests, narrow battles in residential villages, open conflicts across beaches, or even in the various mountain ranges.

Modern Warfare 3 (for all its flaws) gave the Player a take on how a present-day war would look if it befell a number of global locations, with Paris being one of them. BF6 could take this one step further and show us multiple ways of blowing up the Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triomphe in 2020.
