Battlefield 6: 9 Settings DICE Should Use

The continuation of the Hardline timeline isn’t impossible, but highly unlikely as the game didn’t exactly set the world on fire, and developers Visceral Games are now just a name on the memorial wall of development studios.

Setting the next game within the United States and Canada does however open up several different options that DICE and EA could explore. Turning Battlefield 6 into the next Bad Company game could see Marlowe, Sweetwater, Haggard, and Redford journey through a now under attack United States, continuing right where Bad Company 2 ended.

On the other hand, they could look to pick up from where Battlefield 4 left us, possibly playing again as Recker going back to an America that’s been invaded by a combination of Russian and Chinese forces while he was fighting in Suez.

DICE may look to steer clear of this angle, as its been covered by arguably its biggest competitor Call of Duty over the course of the three Modern Warfare games, so they may not want to tread over old ground.

Not as commercially successful, but games like Homefront and Homefront: The Revolution, and Crysis 2 have also recently used the US as a backdrop.
