Black Ops 3: 44 WTF Campaign Moments

24. An Immortal Gets Her Face Burned Off

At the end of the sixth mission, you finally find Kane in the burning building, but upon attempting to rescue her are attacked by a female Immortal carrying a flaming 2x4 block of wood. You manage to wrestle it away from her and slowly drag her head towards the fire, as her face begins to burn to a crisp and gore starts to leak from the back of her head. Ridiculously gnarly stuff, and incredibly satisfying to watch as you rescue Kane from all the madness.

23. Raul Menendez Gets A Mention

In mission 7, you head to Ramses Station, Cairo, to meet up with the remnants of the Egyptian army and interrogate one of the survivors of the Singapore disaster. Your guide through the area, Khalil, namedrops Raul Menendez, the villain from the previous Black Ops, mentioning that the chaos he caused in 2025 (a whole 40 years before this game is set) led to the creation of both the Winslow Accord organisation and the Common Defense Pacts, which ironically is the only reason the Egyptian army are still standing. A fairly oblique reference in an exposition dump, sure, but a welcome nod to what came before all the same.
