6. Hendricks Kills Taylor, Is The Real Main Villain (Duh)
The player is pinned down by some shrapnel from the crash, and Taylor makes the approach to finish the job. In that cheesy, cliched way, though, you manage to appeal to what remains of his humanity, and convince him to carve out the DNI implant with a knife (in gloriously gory fashion, of course). As he lies on the floor and the player tells him it's all over, Taylor reminds you that both you and Hendricks still have the DNI implant, moments after which Taylor is killed with a bullet to the head, and the game's real villain is revealed, Hendricks himself of course. This might've been a cool moment if it wasn't telegraphed from practically the beginning of the game. Plus, practically every CoD game has a good guy turning rogue, so it's not exactly a shocker.
5. Kane Dies
In the game's final mission, you had to Coalescence's Zurich HQ to try and stop the DNI infection spreading. Yourself and Kane discover that a number of dangerous chemical agents are leaking, and set about trying to contain them, leading to a confusing sequence in which Kane heads to the other side of the room to stop the leak, but finds herself trapped in a room with the chemicals, having apparently been tricked. As the chemicals infect her, her face begins to melt off and she vomits a curious substance, doubling over and dying in mere seconds as a stunned player character can only apologise to her smoldering corpse.
