5. Grandma Flexington's Story - Borderlands 2
The in-game Grandmother to Mr. Torgue, Grandma Flexington raised him after his parents died and can be found in the second DLC for Borderlands 2. Looking exactly like every other kindly Grandma that you've every encountered - heavily-muscled, wearing goggles and combat boots - once the DLC has been completed, there is an optional mission that you can take from her.
There isn't a huge amount of searching or combat to be had here but one thing it is for sure is strange. You sit down with her and listen as she launches into a long and rambling story that seems to jump from subject to subject without much thought or logic.
Quite aside from boredom or losing concentration, the main problem here is that once she finally reaches the end of her tirade, she asks you a question. And just in case you're trying to be clever and zoning out on a second play through, there are actually a number of different questions she can hit you with.
That way, the makers of the game made sure that you had to at least half pay-attention... (or just look it up).
Either way, breathtakingly bizarre.
