Borderlands 2 is a game that embraces its absurdity by paying tribute to gaming culture in the best way possible...easter eggs. The game offers up an incredible amount of secrets scattered throughout Pandora for players to discover. Dark Souls, Minecraft, Bioshock, and even the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have found their way into the game. This small sampling barely even scratches the surface of what you can uncover, and the best part of all is that many of these references include rare loot that exploits their individual themes. Hiking across the great expanses of Pandora's landscape forces you to wonder what new surprise could be waiting around the corner. Kudos Gearbox, kudos indeed.
