Borderlands 3: Everything We Know So Far

4. You No Longer Have To Fight Your Friends Over Loot

One of the most frustrating things about playing loot shooters with friends is, well, actually sharing the loot with your friends. In the previous Borderlands games, finding a batch of new weapons and items turned a well-oiled team into a bunch of rogues, as each member attempted to sweep up the best ones for themselves.

Of course, there was the ability to transfer guns from one inventory to another, but it still resulted in a couple awkward fights over which player deserved which weapon. Fortunately, Gearbox are implementing a new feature into the sequel, whereby each player can opt for their own loot, meaning that when they kill an enemy or open a chest, what they're given won't be the same as their friends.

This system is opt-in, so for those pirates who like a good argument over how to dish out their wares, the classic system can still be picked.
