Breath Of The Wild 2: 5 Things We Want (And 5 We Don’t)
5. Don't: Forgetting Recipes
It can be tough to remember which herbs and spices to use for meals in real life, which is why recipe books are a thing. Keeping a diary or journal of specific dishes can be a great help when it comes to recreating past culinary glories, and it's a shame that Breath of the Wild doesn't have such a system in place.
The cooking mechanic in Breath of the Wild is yet another addition to the Zelda series that fans have latched onto. Experimenting with different ingredients to see what stat and health boosts you can muster is a perfect blend of creativity and trial by error which makes you get excited at the thought of finding new things to play around with.
Despite this, it can be super irritating when you create something by chance that gives you way better bonuses than you expected and then find yourself stuck not knowing how to do it again.
The best way to combat this would be to introduce a system whereby every meal you make gets recorded so that you can recreate those experimental delights without needing to waste your resources.
