Brian Terwilliger Interview: Returning To G4, WWE Partnership, Xavier Woods, More
What's the feedback been like to the announcement of the partnership so far?
Terwilliger: The response has been overwhelming. Nothing but emotion from the gaming-verse and you see the locker room surrounding Xavier, getting messages from those inside WWE both in the office and on the talent side. Everyone's excited about this because good things happen to good people and Xavier Woods is good people. This is him chasing his dream and willing it to come true. On the other side of it, those here at G4 feel the same way.
What can fans expect from this game competition series from WWE and G4 this fall?
Terwilliger: I can't give too much away, but you're going to get nothing but pure nonsense from Xavier Woods as we literally hand him the keys to the G4 studio. He's the ultimate wild card and when I say that, he's Loki. He's our Loki and the host of mischief, and at the end of the day, we know he knows how to entertain. He knows how to be an excellent host and communicate and play with heart. You give him that playground as a host of G4 and what's not to love?
If you had to choose, who would you want to see from WWE as Xavier's co-host for the show? Outside of The New Day, of course.
Terwilliger: This is tough. Here's how I'll answer, and it's very much a non-answer answer but I will say: Xavier Woods can have chemistry with anyone in that company. You see it from what he does in the ring and he can go toe-to-toe with anyone. I would personally look to some of his most memorable moments and the chemistry he has with those on UpUpDownDown such as Cesaro or Tyler Breeze or Adam Cole. I could watch those guys play Uno for hours. There's honestly no bad answer because he elevates everyone around him.
