Call Of Duty: 15 Iconic Moments That Confirm Its Genius
11. Ghosts ODIN/LOKI Invasions
The only other FPS released recently which prominently features zero gravity is a Steam release by the name of Shattered Horizon. This makes it all the more special that Call Of Duty: Ghosts is the game that finally brings the concept to the masses. It is simply the embodiment of awesome. Floating around space with a birds-eye view of Earth while fighting countless waves of South American insurgents is beyond belief. And to top all of it off, at the end of the LOKI invasion you are able to fire kinetic rods from the newly controlled space station to numerous opposing ground targets. It's the same kind of joy that you get when burning ants with a magnifying glass. Due to the game being rated 18+ it's almost unique that a game company designing video-games for adults can tap into something so primal and childish and have it be the most pleasant part of the game.
I’ve been a film fan for as long as I can remember, with one of my earliest memories watching my dad’s copy of Star Wars one rainy afternoon in the mid-nineties. Then the 21st century happened, and my interests developed from there – mainly including comics and video-games, and recently an introduction into WWE. It’s a good time for popular culture.
