1. Refined Prestige Mode
Prestige Mode was a great ego-boosting flourish for the CoD games, giving you exactly what its moniker suggests, demonstrating that you've killed enough guys and, let's be honest, sunk enough time into the game to earn such an emblem. However, in Black Ops 2, Treyarch are attempting to address the complaint that a Prestige player's achievement is not pronounced enough, and that the rewards need to continue long after you hit first Prestige. Furthermore, Prestige doesn't force the player to start over with their weapons de-levelled, and while you'll have to accrue them again, once you have done so, they will retain the same level that they did last time you cycled around, giving your hard work a greater sense of achievement, in what is surely a smart move in heightening player satisfaction. This transpires through to the various other unlocks throughout the game, such as emblems and customisation; none of it just jettisons itself, it all sticks around for the long haul. Will this encourage more people to make the torturous slog of Prestige 10? Time will tell... What else do you think is going to make Black Ops 2 rock? Or do you think it's going to suck?
