Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta - 12 Things You Need To Know

8. It Owes A Lot To Destiny & Titanfall

This shouldn't be surprising at all, given how Advanced Warfare clearly owed a lot to Titanfall's verticality mechanics, but Treyach have taken it one step further here by adding wall-running into the game. While not as finessed as in Titanfall, it still adds a nifty twist to the gameplay fans are used to, and if done right, can result in players accessing areas that are otherwise unavailable. As for Bungie's Destiny, the influences are clear: the addition of Specialists is basically a rip-off of Destiny's Super-Charged abilities, while the Gravity Spikes are very similar to the Titan Smash, and the Tempest electric shotgun is basically Destiny's Fusion Rifle. Hell, even BO3's post-match Top Scorers screen looks inspired by Destiny's pre-match visual of the players suiting up for combat. While BO3's influences are incredibly transparent, if it makes for a more interesting and diverse game, does it really matter?
