Call of Duty Ghosts: 5 Things It Must Do Better Than Its Recent Predecessors

4. Create Balance

Call of Duty Ghosts In my opinion if this warning is not listened to by Infinity Ward they will fail to create a great Call of Duty classic. Speaking from personal experience I know for a fact that Call of Duty is becoming more and more unbalanced when it comes to the Create-A-Class system. Certain perks and attachments are becoming over powered and making them literally essential - meaning if you don't use this certain perk or attachment you cannot possibly keep up with the other players around you. In MW3, the overpowering aspect was obviously Assassin. It simply had too many benefits and made you almost invincible. I hated Ghost, UAV Jammer and Assassin perks with a burning passion but I ended up submitting to them on Modern Warfare 3 by utilising Assassin because I simply could not get ahead without it. On the first Black Ops, the overpowering aspect was probably the strength of the Galil Assault rifle - it had no recoil when equipped with a Silencer and meant anyone who used it was much stronger than most other players, even at close range. In my opinion, there is already a ready made replacement for some of the balancing problems that are currently cursing the series and that is a return for the Stopping Power and Juggernaut perks. If you reintroduce Stopping Power and place it alongside Ghost/Assassin then the person using Ghost will be slightly weakened during a fire fight BUT he'll be immune to radars - that's a clear advantage AND disadvantage which makes a Ghost/Assassin type perk fair for everyone. Reintroducing Juggernaut alongside Stopping Power would then make people choose between higher offence or defence. Your bullets will be weaker but your body armour would be stronger - thus, a fair fight. This of course all depends on whether Ghosts will re familiarise us with the 10 Point System - if they do reuse this system then people could of course still use Assassin with, say, Stopping Power... meaning they'd still be overpowered. I just think the developers need to take a little more time in tweaking the Create-A-Class system so that you're not disadvantaged by choosing to not use a certain gun or perk - if everyone has to use the same stuff then it gets boring and who wants to play boring games?
