Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare - 10 Ways Multiplayer Is COMPLETELY Different

1. Specialist Abilities Are Way More Grounded

Following in the footsteps of hero shooters, the past couple of Call of Duty games have put the focus on specialist classes, each equipped with their own unique super moves that you can fire off a couple times in a round.

In the Black Ops series these have gotten a little ridiculous, and while Modern Warfare is retaining the idea of having a special triggered by pressing R1 and L1, they're going to be far more grounded.

Some of the specials so far include different, more powerful ammo variations for weapons and a ballistic shield, helpful buffs which feel right at home in the MW world. It probably wouldn't have been wise for the developers to cut these out completely, but paring them back - especially now that killstreaks have returned - is a good way to recapture that classic COD feel.
