4. CoD's Best Gunplay In Years

Though the TTK definitely needs a tweak, at a base level the gunplay in Modern Warfare is the slickest and most satisfying the Call of Duty franchise has offered in years.

Stripping back the outlandishness of more recent CoD games, there's a refreshing simplicity to the point-and-shoot gunplay here, with machine guns packing an entertainingly meaty punch. Sniping is also extremely fun, especially if you can find a sneaky perch during a round of Ground War.

Even with the low TTK, the overall pace of the game feels slower and more methodical, so impatient players will be punished for rushing in, while those who take their time to set up a kill will be rewarded.
