Call Of Duty: Ranking Every Game Mode From Worst To Best
11. Reinforce
Whilst many of the new modes that the series' rotating development teams have been slight variants on existing game types, others are mergers of significant elements from two or more blended together to create interesting mashups. Reinforce was one such creation, blending Search And Destroy and Domination together. Having cropped up in the last two Infinity Ward games, it would seem a safe bet to see it return again in 2019, and deservedly so.
Starting out much like an ordinary game of Domination would, Reinforce quickly veers into uncharted territory through its implementation of Search And Destroy's elimination mechanic. Kills usually come thick and fast as teams immediately jostle for each map's neutral flag, so it isn't uncommon to see the majority of the field decimated in an instant.
Dead players return to life when their living allies succeed in taking over a position, enabling a full-strength push toward the overall objective of capturing all three flags (a rarity in everyday Domination) and ending the round.
Standing out as one of the best additions that have been made to the series since its turn of the decade heyday, Reinforce has quickly become a welcome accompaniment to the two games that inspired it and both Treyarch and Sledgehammer need to take note of it sooner rather than later.
