Given that the iconic Call of Duty: World at War first gave us the off-shoot that was Nazi Zombies, it's only right that the grunt of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One brings us zombies in 2017.

All that's been revealed so far is a poster with the rather disturbing sight of a former soldier, turned undead and baring his teeth. We have no details on weapons, maps or even possible mystery boxes.

Given that we've just had Black Ops III Zombie Chronicles released for PS4, delivering 8 maps for the current generation Zombies has always been and remains popular among Call of Duty fans old and new.

Here's hoping that guns aren't hidden behind supply drops or any other form of currency, and the maps are plentiful. It may be that Zombie Chronicles' release means that Nacht Der Untoten, the original (and some might say best) zombies map won't make it to WW2, but hopefully the new Nazi Zombie maps are just as good or better.
