Casting The Perfect Red Dead Redemption Film

Rachel McAdams has played a wide variety of characters in both film and television. From her breakout role as the manipulative teenager Regina George in Mean Girls, McAdams has become a well known and successful actress whose career shows little signs of slowing down.

In the last few years, McAdams has gained praise for her performances in films such as Southpaw and Doctor Strange and the second season of True Detective, with the latter having her play the more stern and determined Antigone "Ani" Bezzerides.

It’s because of these performances, and others, that make McAdams a good fit to play Abigail Marston.

An orphan who grew up scraping off a living from bars and brothels across Western America, Abigail is a no-nonsense, straight-talking woman who will do whatever it takes to protect her son Jack and survive in an unforgiving world. After joining the Van Der Linde Gang as a prostitute, she eventually fell in love with John and gave birth to Jack, but he would often doubt that he was his real father.

It would be entertaining to see McAdams evoke the same fire and tenacity fans had come to expect and love from Abigail.
