Castlevania Season 2: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
3. More Dracula
A lot of people loved Vlad Dracula Tepes's compelling, nuanced presence in the first episode, which made his lack in the latter three noticeable. With his absence in most of the series, fans missed the surprisingly sympathetic, but undeniably vicious and unforgiving Big Bad of the series, and were eager to see more of him firsthand after he sent the hordes of hell out to terrorise humanity.
The trailer for the second season excited a lot of fans, presenting Dracula as taking part in the bloody culling of humanity, straying farther and farther away from the humanity his wife instilled in him. Played as charismatic and capable of love, while also animalistic in his rage and viciousness, Dracula is portrayed effectively by another Hobbit alum, Graham McTavish.
McTavish played the biggest, toughest dwarf in The Hobbit, Dwalin - a far cry from the elevated, almost elegant, villainous character of Dracula, but harbouring the same passion.
A fitting counterpoint to Richard Armitage's jaded hero, Trevor.
Fans are sure to enjoy more of the series's biggest bad, with the added bonus of seeing him playing off hellish allies and encountering his own son as an enemy. October can't some soon enough.
