Castlevania Season 2: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
2. More Of The Tepes Family
One of the shortcomings of the first season was the lack of screentime for the characters Alucard and Lisa Tepes, as well as scenes of how they and Dracula were as a family. Even in what little time they were given, both characters were able to shine.
Lisa's chemistry with Dracula was undeniable, despite barely covering five minutes before the episode cutting to her death, and Dracula's love for her made his violence against their son all the more mysterious.
Alucard, though only appearing in the final episode, showed himself to be both a skilled fighter, a powerful vampire, and harbouring a deep love and reverence for his mother, for whom he is willing to kill his own father to honour.
Having scenes in season two showing the family spending happy days together in the twenty years Dracula and Lisa were married will almost certainly make Alucard's eventual showdown with his father all the more tragic.
Moreover, seeing Dracula at his most human and loving will make his continuing descent into depravity all the more compelling to fans.
