Complete History Of WWE Video Games - Part 1 (1987-1995)

13. "WWF Raw" (Snes/32x/Genesis/Game Boy/Game Gear) 1994

12 Raw Raw was a direct sequel to Royal Rumble, completing the 16 bit trilogy of WWF games on that generations consoles. Raw again improved on the established material by adding unique move sets for each character in the game, adding to the already established signature moves. In another good move, each wrestler's attributes were a focus, with each having different statistics for strength, stamina and weight. Different kinds of wrestler could perform different moves, like lighter wrestlers being able to execute a school boy pin. Besides this, it still retained the now standard Tug of War grapple system. For the most part it was just a small step forward from Super Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble, but welcome additions nonetheless. It would be the final game in the LJN series of games, signaling what could be done if the games continued to improve over time.
