Crash Bandicoot 4: 10 Hardest Levels Ranked

5. Draggin' On

Let's get this straight - Draggin' On, by itself, is not that hard. Sure, it's a long level, and sure, there is certainly some tricky platforming, but it's nowhere near some of the other entries on this list. So why's it here?

Simply put - getting the Blue Gem in this level is honestly one of the hardest things I've ever attempted in a video game.

In yet another callback to Crash 2, in order to get the Blue Gem, you must traverse the entirety of this level without breaking a single box. The only issue here, however, is that this is not a brief and simple straightaway - this is a treacherous route of lengthy pits spackled with boxes that are super tricky to avoid.

Not only that, but as previously mentioned, this is a *long* level and, since you're not allowed to break any boxes, this also means that you don't get any Checkpoints. If you die or hit a box at any point in the level, you have to start all the way back from the beginning.

Sure, there's an exploit where you can purposefully die in the Bonus Room to get a pseudo-checkpoint, but you still have to avoid tons of boxes placed atop narrow and widely-spaced platforms using Akano, a mask that makes you spin uncontrollably and break boxes on impact.

No wonder this level is called "Draggin' On" - because you're going to spend a lot more time in this level than necessary.
