Crash Bandicoot: Ranking Every N. Sane Trilogy Boss Battle
4. Tiny Tiger - Cortex Strikes Back
Tiny Tiger's first appearance in Cortex Strikes Back possibly provided framework for N. Trophy's in Warped, seeing as both rely on old school platform jumping. Despite the fact Tiny's battle is less varied than N. Tropy's, it sneaks above it for a couple of reasons.
While you're expecting N. Tropy's to be great, considering his prominence in the story and the overall quality of Warped, Tiny Tiger comes out of nowhere. Ripper Roo's battle was a downgrade on his first appearance, the Komodo Brothers were forgettable newcomers... by the time you get to Tiny Tiger and see a muscle bound big cat leaping around a space station, you're kind of expecting another random, slightly half baked boss battle. Not so.
The first stage is a fairly straight forward jump and dodge game. Where it gets more interesting is as the floating platforms drop away and Tiny gets more aggressive, you're left needing to plan your route. This feels like an organic increase in difficulty that forces you to think, rather than just react. It's definitely better than bosses just adding more projectiles over and over again.
