Crash Bandicoot: Ranking Every N. Sane Trilogy Boss Battle

N. Gin bucks the trend on a lot of this list and it still comes out on top. Yes, it was argued N. Tropy's importance to the story could have seen him higher, and while that's true, at least it was followed by a battle as awesome as N. Gin's space mech.

There's absolutely zero platforming here, with Coco leaping in a spaceship akin to something from Star Fox. Fought across two stages, the first sees you fighting a much stronger mech from Cortex Strikes Back; luckily Coco brings lasers instead of the fruit her brother used. Once the mech falls, N. Gin attacks you in a spaceship of his own, with a grand total of twelve hit points.

What's great here is how the battle lets you play your way. The hit points all correspond to various weapons and attacks from N. Gin himself, so you can plan to avoid the tougher ones until you've ground him down or risk taking out the big guns first.

Seeing as you get your own health bar, it's not as difficult as some others. However, it does offer an extra challenge if you attempt to do the whole thing without taking a hit.
