Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
9. Pura
Pura is, if anything, slightly harder to steer in the main series games then Polar, and with Coco’s Great Wall Of China levels, can pick up serious speed when going for relics.
Polar can speed too, but tends to have more dodge oriented levels. Therefore, it’s arguably a bit stranger to have Pura in the Handling class, but again the cuddly image means it’s vaguely suitable and inviting to newbies.
In the first Crash Team Racing, Pura seemed like the cheeky scamp of the duo. With Polar being given more animations this time around though, it’s very tough to split them.
Again, it largely comes down to whether you prefer tiger cubs or polar bear cubs. The stripes add a little bit of character to Pura, plus Coco seems closer to her cub than Crash ever did to Polar; he did once stomp on the bear’s head repeatedly for extra lives.
Think of this as being tied for ninth with Polar though, with both bears sure to be popular with new players. For the later stages of Adventure mode though, you’ll likely need to change gears a bit.
