Cyberpunk 2077: 10 Coolest Features We Can't Wait To Play

8. Playstyle: Techie

CYBERPUNK 2077
CD Projekt RED

The second playstyle on offer is that of the Techie; more cyberpunk than Solo but still probably in the middle of the three. That’s because while Techie (as the name suggests) deals with technology, it does it through very physical means.

Techies specialise in things like wires, laptops, cameras, robots... they’re essentially focussed on the mechanics of technology, stripping things down and rebuilding or improving it. It’s not so much of your cyber space technology as it is good old fashioned cables and grease.

While you can’t rip open guns with your hands, you do get access to your very own spider robot though: Flathead.

This cyber creepy crawly is stolen military hardware, and can be used to change the environment to your advantage. If anything’s wired to the ceiling for example, Flathead can make it drop on your foes.

The Techie class gets various other upgrades, potentially including more robotic helpers, but CD Projekt Red are remaining coy on the issue right now. It’s always best in RPGs to discover things for yourself, so CDPR’s approach might be for the best, as there promises to be a great deal of Techie content still to come.
