8. No Fixed Classes (But There Will Be Stats)

Though the devs very much confirmed that Cyberpunk is going to be just as hardcore of an RPG as they've ever made, the studio is attempting to tweak the standard formula by not having any choosable classes when you first boot the game up.

Instead of deciding what kind of build you want to pursue immediately, it's the way you actually play the game itself which will dictate your class, with certain stats being prioritised naturally throughout the experience. In a way, it sounds sort of similar to the way Skyrim handled character progression back in 2011.

The stats themselves are taken directly from the tabletop source material, comprised of Strength, Constitution, Intelligence, Reflexes, Tech and Cool, all of which can be upgraded depending on how you tackle missions. No doubt there'll be plenty of people opting for entire playthroughs ramping up their Cool and avoiding everything else.
