In the world of Dungeons of Dragons, secrets can be terrible things. Forbidden rituals, dark spells, true names of demonic lords - all come with a terrible cost: sometimes that cost is the emergence of an Allip.

When a person in pursuit of knowledge beyond them obtains one of these massive secrets, their bodies can be torn away, leaving only this dark entity in its place. Desperate to share its the secret that drove it to madness and destruction.

An Allip has a number of devastating effects at its disposal. They're incredibly hard to track as they can dart in and out of solid objects at will while being resistant, if not immune to no less than 10 different types of damage.

Offensively, an Allip's touch deals Psychic damage, one of the most difficult to defend against in the game. But it need not get into melee range with a character to be impactful.

Its Howling Babble deals solid Psychic damage and stuns those who can hear it, while its Whispered Madness ability can consume and waste player reactions that force them to attack their allies. Reactions that could be used for things like countering spells or attacking those who try to run away.

Mixing haunting lore and incredible potential to disrupt any combat scenario, an Allip is never a foe player's should absolutely dread encountering.
