Dark Souls 2: 10 Improvements That Must Be Made

4. More Varied Boss Battles

Dark Souls Boss Fight Though the actual design of the bosses varied, the fights themselves followed a very similar pattern, which required the player to learn a boss€™s movement and thus learn when to attack and when to run and when to summon players to help you deal with some of the more difficult ones. One of the few exceptions to this was the Bed of Chaos boss fight. Not a direct fight, the Bed of Chaos battle was more about evading its attacks and being wary of your environment as you made your way towards the areas protecting its weak points. It was a welcome change of pace from the hacking and slashing of the other boss fights. Dark Souls II could take this even further by offering up greater variety of boss fights, where not every encounter needs to be decided by brawn alone. Variety is the spice of life after all.
