Dark Souls: Top 8 Boss Fights
2. Iron Golem
http://youtu.be/K8PX8l9JfxMThis may surprise some, but the Iron Golem ranks here due to one reason. The Iron Golem was the most fun boss battle in the game personally. That alone brings it this high up the list. It was a hella fun fight and I enjoyed the battle tremendously. Of course, the Iron Golem is also a very easy boss fight, especially for a melee player. Nevertheless, it still struck me as a great fight. The fight takes place atop a bridge with a circular middle platform and two narrow walkways. It's a small stage and you can easily fall off if you aren't careful. If you leave a different, smaller golem outside the arena alive, he'll throw explosives onto the middle square section, basically limiting you to fighting on the narrow walkways. All of that makes it a fun battle. The Iron Golem has a few different attacks, mostly melee attacks but he does have a magical wind attack and a small AoE attack too. For the most part, you just have to continuously roll and dodge around during battle and get off counter-attacks. It's fun because even though the Iron Golem can be easy (although I did die to him the same number of times I died to the Four Kings, two times each), he can still hurt you if his attacks connect. It's all about timing your own attacks, which I just enjoyed. Rolling and dodging around is inherently fun anyway! The boss theme is also pretty cool. Plus, making him fall off the bridge is hella satisfying....slayer of heroes who ventured forth... - Dark Souls
