Until Dawn: 10 Things That Look Absolutely Terrifying

1. Moral Dilemmas

Lovers of The Walking Dead games (a.k.a. anyone who has played The Walking Dead games) will know the impact that a horrible moral dilemma has on a player, and that these choices can be more horrifying than on-screen violence could ever be. This War Of Mine perfected these awful consequences last year, making you decide which characters must die for the others to survive, and who is going to have murder on their conscience for the rest of their (possibly quite short) life. Until Dawn seems to be playing a similar tune to this. The Gamescom demo shows a point where a playable character is trapped and has to decide whether he or his friend lives while circle saws descend from the ceiling. These kinds of moral decisions will be crucial for the survival of other characters, and have so far have been used to great effect in modern gaming. It€™s these decisions that can make a game go from a bit jumpy here and there to excruciatingly horrific. Supermassive Games have promised that there will be plenty more where that came from, so Until Dawn is set to be an emotional rollercoaster of truly terrifying proportions. Bring on the release date. Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
