3. You're Being Watched
During the preview it becomes clear that the playable character has been filmed throughout the episode. When she tries to hide in the lodges cinema, the film starts rolling and she sees herself from where she was less than five minutes previous. This kind of psychological intensity creates a further cinematic atmosphere. Being watched at every turn is much more characteristic for psychological horror films such as My Little Eye and even Saw. This also makes the game more unpredictable again. Even if there wasnt possible paranormal activity, this detail means that the butterfly effect will definitely have more of an impact as the bad guys will not only see your every action, but will have it on tape too. Potentially you will then have your mistakes played back to you, as the character youve doomed screams in the background which would lend a very Saw-esque vibe to the atmosphere. The presence of the cameras also makes the possible plot much more exciting. The cameras suggest that the killings are premeditated, and so the story will be much more juicy than a random psycho in the woods. Until Dawn apparently has hundreds of possible endings, so presumably the killer(s) will have numerous possible motives. Until then, there can only be speculation on who controls the cameras.
