Days Gone: 10 Gameplay Details You Need To Know
3. Dynamic Events
Dynamic
events are random happenings throughout the open world that can vary from minor
nuisances to impactful mission alerting hazards.
Days Gone’s 2017 E3 demo showcased a prime example of dynamic events when Deacon traveled the same road towards a mission on two different days. The first drive saw Deacon get chased by wolves, a distraction that caused him to drive straight into an ambush set up by marauders. On the second play through however, the wolves were nowhere to be found and Deacon was able to become the ambusher instead of the ambushee.
These kinds of dynamic events should ensure no two days in the game are the same but you can't help but wonder how many variations of dynamic events can occur? Sure, spotting and avoiding a marauder set booby trap on the road will be exciting the first time, but when it happens for the 60th time will it still be enjoyable?
