Days Gone: 10 Reasons It's One Of The PS4's Best Exclusives

1. The Best Is Yet To Come

Perhaps the very best thing about Days Gone, however, is what it promises for the future. Though Sony Bend's release is indeed a great game, it also has plenty of flaws, which are to be expected considering it's the studio's first attempt at a release on this scale.

The thing is, the foundation they'll be building off is so strong and sturdy, packed with great ideas, characters and stories that can be fully realised in a sequel. Few major new IPs come out the gate swinging, and at the moment Days Gone's closest equivalent is probably Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, a title which was a huge step forward for a developer, but which could be improved and built upon with sequels.

It's inevitable that the title is going to receive a follow up, as while critics weren't so hot on it, players absolutely were, and it's sold like gangbusters across the first few weeks.

Days Gone will return, and it'll be even better than it already is.
