Speaking of the Rippers, the second act of Days Gone comes to an end when Deacon and Boozer storm the compound of the RIP gang, sending an entire dam crashing down on their heads. The implication is that the subsequent flood would take out the cult for good, with their power seemingly snuffed out completely when the player kills their leader, Carlos.

Even though they're bigged up as the game's big bad beforehand, they're taken out pretty swiftly, but it's left unclear whether or not they still have the potential to be a proper threat.

The death of Carlos isn't followed up on, and there are still surviving gangs of Rippers you're encouraged to take down even after their supposed demise, so will the cult live on?
