5. Firefights
Though the last Dead Space game did ramp up the action considerably, it still didn't de-evolve into full-blown Call of Duty-inspired firefights, though the introduction of a few elements in DS3 are definitely worrying. The inclusion of human enemies who shoot at you means that a cover system has also had to be implemented, whereas in the previous games, taking cover from a Necromorph would have been both pointless and silly. Even in the 25-minute demo, there's far too much in the way of gunfights; they should be a minimal aspect of the game, and Isaac should be the only one shooting - at the Necromorphs. This just seems too radical a move away from the Dead Space we know and love; plus, the fire-fights in the demo are all woefully boring and repetitive.
