3. No Deathmatch Mode
The deathmatch mode in Dead Space 2 wasn't
amazing, but it was a fun addition to dip into whenever you wanted a break from the intensity of the single-player offering. It seemed a little tacked on and malnourished, but it had clear promise if the developers continued to build on it for the third game. It might seem like choosing the lesser of two evils - online deathmatches over co-op multiplayer - but to sacrifice a successful mode for one which seems only to hamper the original style and tone of the series just reeks of idiocy. Of the two online modes, deathmatch is definitely the one that I would be more interested in, as it can be impelemented without encroaching upon those facets which define the Dead Space franchise (or used to, at least).
