Death Stranding: 10 CONFIRMED Story & Gameplay Details You Need To Know

3. Exploration And Voidouts

As mysterious as Death Stranding may seem, one of the most obvious things about it is that it will feature a lot of exploration, and seemingly never lets you die.

Exploration has been featured in all of the trailers for Death Stranding so far. Sam is seen traversing across ruins, rivers and grasslands, all the while carrying packages for other people.

This is such an important aspect to the game that Sam is even seen using a bike to get around, hinting that the game-world is quite big. Kojima has even said that if you can see it, you can go there.

That's not all though, as it seems like Death Stranding won't feature any sort of game over and will instead have Sam "void-out". This in turn destroys the surrounding area, creating what will apparently be a permanent crater in the world.

All of this massively ties into rebuilding America and the idea that the game world isn't as permanent as it may look.
