Death Stranding Trailer Breakdown: 10 Things You Need To See

4. The Tunnel

Death Stranding
Kojima Productions

The camera follows the baby doll through the tunnel at this point, as it begins to glow a steady red. With the strand pulling the baby in to the tunnel and the red glow it appears to show that the baby doll is indeed being controlled as it's guided through the water and the synth music begins to swell.

On the tunnel walls we can also see black hand prints. In the first trailer, hand prints were tracked all over the sand and character's body so they appear to be an important visual clue, as well as another element that directly links both trailers.

Although dark, you can also catch a few moments throughout the tunnel section of the trailer that shows a whole bunch of cables below the water's surface.
