Destiny 2: 5 Ups & 5 Downs
3. Class Powers Are Greatly Improved & Extremely Fun To Use
Alongside new class-based powers you can deploy during combat like portable shields, dodges and healing boosts, are sub-classes for each type of character, and extended uses of every main Super ability that appeared in the first game.
All of this helps each character type feel far more distinctive, and as Warlocks now have a quick healing boost, it encourages players to work as a balanced Fireteam, utilising all skills and powers as one. Especially when it comes to Super Abilities, Bungie want you to feel as empowered as possible, lighting up your respective fire-imbued sword or flinging an energy-charged shield across the map in unison.
Now, Supers aren't just a 'one and done'-type deal, instead putting you in a power state that means you can apply a more tactical edge when hunting down the entirety of the opposition, one by one. Truly, it gives Destiny's combat and multiplayer matches a better sense of progression and dynamism, ensuring powers are firing off in all directions in amongst the more standard weapon-focused exchanges.
