Destiny 2 Beta: 7 Ups & 2 Downs

4. Super Abilities Have Been Tweaked (For The Better)

One of the most divisive changes if you look to various online forums, is how Supers have now been changed.

On the one hand, they now take FAR longer to build up than before - usually only being usable towards the end of a match. Personally I don't mind this, as it gives matches a sense of progression, seeing everybody unleash their most devastating abilities right when it matters most - when point totals are neck and neck.

On the other hand, Supers now put you in a 'Super state', translating your moveset into that of a handful of special attacks. This means that with abilities like Fists of Havoc, you no longer just bust out the ground-slam and that's it - instead your grenade is replaced with an energy blast, and/or you can do an additional two more area-of-effect slams.

Basically, Bungie may be holding back on the frequency of these show-stopping specials, but when you can use them, it's devastating to the opposition.
