3. A Much Bigger Emphasis On Clans
Clans were a part of Destiny, but in a passive and entirely unimportant way. You could set up and join a clan on Bungie's website, and your clan tag and name would be present on your card in-game. That's pretty much the extent of clans in the first Destiny.
This time around, Bungie is making clans more prominent. They are going to be managed in game, and meeting up and playing with members from your clan will be easier than ever. You will also be able to make and sport a clan banner. Clans will also feature a reward system as well as a level system. Every member of the clan will share in the rewards, so it doesn't matter if you are the most active or least active, everyone will be included.
This time around, your clan will not just be a glorified decoration on your card, but it will serve a functional purpose to help you gather friends to play together more effectively. This heavy emphasis on clans comes with a reason however...
