Destiny 3: 8 Reasons It Should Be Single Player

4. It Would Allow Bungie To Return To Their Halo Roots

Bungie's Halo games featured some of the greatest stories and set pieces seen in gaming, yet Destiny has not allowed them to return to these features, simply due to the multiplayer nature of those titles.

A single player game would give the developers more control - meaning that they would be able to replicate the same over the top action set pieces and the accompanying sense of scale that they had previously delivered - something that fans of the now waning Halo series would certainly appreciate.

Furthermore, Bungie could approach level design in a similar way to Halo. The story missions seen in Destiny are rather dull gameplay wise - often boiling down to scan, shoot and repeat.

And, hey, if Bungie also wanted to add in an armour set that is close to (but legally distinct from) Master Chief's classic look, then that wouldn't go amiss either.
