Detroit: Become Human Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs

Ups...

6. It's Absolutely Gorgeous

Detroit Become Human
Sony

Everything in Detroit is absolutely jaw-dropping, and it's easily one of the best looking games of this generation.

One of the most important things in Detroit is the characters, so it's a pretty good thing that all of them are highly detailed and look amazingly lifelike. The main three in particular look photorealistic, which is one of the benefits of Quantic Dream's acting process.

It's not just the character models that look great though, as the environments are also lush. Each area is like a set-piece, and it's clear that they've all had extensive work put into making them look as good as possible. It's one of the benefits of being a linear experience.

Best of all has to be the weather effects, with both the snow and the rain coating the characters and environments. It has to be some of the best implementation of weather in game to date.

Simply put, Detroit is one of those games you pop in to make your friends jealous.
