Detroit: Become Human Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs

5. Connor Could Carry His Own Game

Of all of the characters in Detroit, Connor is easily the standout.

That's not to say that Kara and Markus aren't great characters too, but more that Connor's arc and story choices are a lot more interesting.

Seeing him slowly slip into becoming more human or robotic is extremely interesting on both ends of the scale, especially considering he easily has the most emotional range of all of the characters. Bryan Dechart's performance of the character is truly impressive, and he's easily going to be remembered as the game's most interesting protagonist.

It helps that Connor also comes attached to Hank, who is another of the games' greatest characters. The relationship between the two may be a little bit predictable, but it's still satisfying nonetheless, especially when this sort of 'bromance' hasn't really appeared in a Quantic Dream game yet.

With the success of Detroit, Quantic Dream should really look into giving Connor his own game, as it's pretty clear he can handle one.
